With the improvement of living standards, more and more people are able to make holiday trips to places of interest. What was once reserved for only the rich is now within everybody’s grasp. More travelling is, without doubt, a phenomenon in the modern time.
The reasons for this increase are many and varied. On a simplistic level, there are larger numbers of means of transportation there are more cars, buses and trains in operation. The cost of travelling, even though it is at present increasing due to an economic slow-down globally, is still relatively affordable to many people. This affordability is further enhanced by the use of credit cards and loans in order to fund travel, especially for holiday purposes. An increase of travel companies in competition with each other has also helped bring package prices down. At the same time, the number of flights operating globally has also increased, giving rise to falling airfares. In addition, people now have more leisure time and income.
Travelling brings tremendous benefits to travellers. In the first place, travelling gives them direct experiences. It is necessary for a person to expand his horizon. It will make , his life more pleasant and give him a deeper understanding of people and the world. In the second place, travelling is very exciting. Travelling helps travellers to see new customs, eat new foods, and do new things. It also helps them to make new friends. Wherever they go, they are bound to meet with people from different backgrounds.
In conclusion, travelling has become more and more popular, and there are many reasons why more people are travelling both internationally and locally. Travelling is indeed beneficial to travellers in many aspects.
